Mission Statement
Our own flat figures of Flat Dean and Woodie World Wide serve to involve the FIRST Community and promote S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) initiatives to the world.
Impact
Our newest outreach project this year involves a global impact. Our two flat figures, in the theme of "Flat Stanley", are travelling the world visiting other FIRST teams, universities, and our team's own family, friends, and relatives. Flat Dean and Woodie World Wide are on a mission to spread the ideals of FIRST around the world. "Science, technology, and engineering are the best," says Dean, "But don't forget your gracious professionalism!" says Woodie. Team 1086 would like you to get involved with this mission and this is how you can help:
How to Get Involved
- Photograph Woodie and Dean in a team picture!
- Send us your team picture with Woodie and Dean!
After sending this back to bluecheese1086@yahoo.com, we will make a collage of all of Dean and Woodie's travels to different teams. This collage, along with a slideshow/video, will be displayed in our pits at our NASA/VCU Regional and at nationals in Atlanta! Share this project with everyone you know and really get Dean and Woodie traveling!
