Rug Rage

Rug Rage was the name of the 1993 season FIRST game. FIRST made everything bigger this year, compared to Maize Craze, however, the number of teams dropped.

12' x 40' carpeted surface with four 6' x 6' goals located on the perimeter. Each goal has a crossbar that only allows small balls to roll under it. Game starts with scoring objects (balls) randomly placed in center of field.

Game Description

Each kick ball in a team's goal is worth 5 points and each water-filled ball is worth one point.

Tournament Structure

The pair of teams with the highest scores were the winners, and (conversely) the two teams with the lowest scores are the losers.

Kit Of Parts

  • Robots were not tethered this year.

Rules

  • 50 pound weight limit
  • Robots had to fit in a 3' x 3' x 3' volume
