FIRSTwiki:Add your team logo tutorial (FLL)

If you've recently created your team page, you may now want to know how to add your team logo so it shows up in the right place on the page (see SMART for an example). This tutorial will show you how.

Follow these steps to upload and display your team logo on your new team page

1. Select a good logo graphic

The standard is to use a graphic that is approximately 150 pixels by 150 pixels. If you team logo is a large graphic file, use your favorite image editing software to reduce the file size. Also, please give your logo file a unique filename.

2. Upload your logo file to FIRSTwiki

2.1. Click the Upload File link on the left side of the FIRSTwiki window as follows

You will now see this screen...

2.2. Fill in the Upload File Form

Use the Browse Button to find the logo file on your computer, put whatever comment you like, tick off the box affirming that you are the owner/copyright holder of the graphic, then...

2.3 Click Upload File

If your team logo name was SampleFllTeam.jpg you would see something like this after clicking Upload File...

3. Edit Your Team Page

3.1. Display Your Team Page

Navigate to your team page using your preferred method (perhaps you have it bookmarked, otherwise use the navigation links on the Main Page.

3.2. Click the Edit Tab to Display the Edit Window

You would now see something like this...

Note the line with the red oval around it. That is what you would now edit to include your logo on your team page.

3.3. Put Your Logo File Name on Page

Edit your page with your Logo Name. Note the 150px is showing the size it will make the graphic on the page, and "Team Logo" is the Alt text for the image (what the user will see when they hover the mouse over your image). Here is what it might look like...

3.4. Save Your Page

Click the Save button. Your page is now complete. Here is what your completed page might look like...
