History

We are FIRST Robotics Competition Team 375, The Robotic Plague. Hailing from Staten Island, New York, our team strives to encourage a positive view of science, technology, engineering and math in the heart of our community. While our team is almost twelve years old, we are ever expanding. With the help of dedicated mentors, alumni, sponsors and parents, our members experience a team unlike any other. We are proud to say that although we build engineering feats, we build spirit, professionalism, and humanitarianism simultaneously. As we like to say: "There are no problems, only solutions!"

Team projects

  • Yearly robotics demonstrations for children, to inspire a love of STEM fields.
  • Starting a recycling program within our school.
  • Working with various clubs and organizations, such as our school's National Honor Society chapter in order to give back to the community. (Hungerford Day, Book Drives, etcetera)
  • Exploring the fields of science, technology, and math through engineering disciplines.
  • Starting a STEM initiative within our school.
  • Working towards the culmination of several invention/innovation grants, such as the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams Grant.
  • Refurbishing old wheelchairs to donate to our community.
  • Paying it forward.
  • Working with various FLL and FRC teams to ensure that they complete their season successfully.
  • Refereeing for FIRST Lego League tournaments around New York City.
  • Striving to help make New York City FIRST better through actively participating in the New York City FIRST Student Leadership Assembly.
  • Joining with Staten Island Project Homefront to give back to our troops overseas.
  • Creating resources that may be freely accessed by other FIRST teams.
