History

2008:
- One of our elementary schools asked if we could build them a snowball target. This target would give students something to throw at, besides each other. These targets were built from two four foot by four foot pieces of plywood, nailed to four by four pressure-treated posts. The posts were chamfered at forty-five degree angles to allow them to fit inside a four inch PVC pipe. A four foot piece of PVC was buried in the ground, and the targets were raised into the PVC. In this way, the targets can be removed for the summer and reinstalled in the winter.
2009:
- The whole team walked in the Relay for Life ACS walk held at Rocket Stadium. Students also donated bottles of water and helped with clean up during this awesome event.
- Students met with the American Business Club of Muskegon to spread the word of FIRST.
2010:
- Students built an Arch for Homecoming. This Arch is for the celebration of King and Queen and the Homecoming dance. They built this at the request of Student Council.
- Students are currently mentoring a Jr FLL Team!
- December 4th, 2009, our students successful completed a scrapbooking party for approximately 25 people. We learned a lot from valuable feedback and were able to raise some much needed funds for our program!
- This semester we worked on converting a 'Bully' Bifold Ramp into a folding wheelchair ramp. These ramps originally fold length-wise, and we made it fold in the middle width-wise. We then 'skinned' the ramp so that the wheel chair wheels would not fall between the rungs.
