Team 159, Alpine Robotics, is a FIRST Robotics Team comprised of approximately 30 Poudre High School students. Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, Team 159 was one of the first robotics in the mountain states region. Alpine Robotics is active year-round, recruiting and training new members in the fall, mentoring FIRST Lego League Teams and hosting the Poudre Lego League Competition in mid November. The team participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition in the spring, meeting almost every day during the build season starting with the kickoff, in early January, and participates in the Colorado Regional in Denver and the Championship Event in Atlanta.

History

• Alpine Robotics started as a rookie team in 1998 by a group of students and a math teacher from Poudre High School. The team has grown and has advanced through the years. The team now is a strong co-ed team with over 30 members. The team has competed in numerous regionals all over the midwest but now participates in the Colorado Regional at DU in Denver and the Championship Event in Atlanta.
